With April arriving, our regular bowling league season ends on April 15th.

It was a fun season with great socializing, meeting new friends, and some exercise. Although the regular season ends on the 15th, many bowlers want to continue with 2 or 3 weeks of “Bingo Bowling.” (How many weeks we continue will depend on how hot the alley gets.)

“Bingo Bowling” is a fun new way to bowl – each of the six teams gets the same “card,” and it is a competition to complete your card first – or as far as you can get within a specified time limit. It is a fast-paced way to bowl, with each team member taking their turn. It depends mostly on luck, not just skill!

So far this season, we have had openings for several spares each week. There are six teams, each with six players. With golfing season beginning (and a few people still vacationing down south), we expect that we should have room for a few new bowlers for the Bingo Bowling. So, if you would like to come out and try this fun game, we could probably use 3 or 4 new bowlers.

We play Tuesday mornings from 9:30 am to noon at the Renfrew Bowldrome on Raglan Street. Socializing and practicing begin at 9:00. The price is $12.75, plus shoe rental if needed.
